Unfortunately, it may happen that a borrower misses a payment. When a borrower misses a payment, we send a payment reminder via e-mail. This reminder includes an iDEAL payment link that allows the employee to pay the missed payment. It is also possible for employees to log in to the website and pay using iDEAL in their personal environment. When the missed payment is not paid, we contact the borrower to find out the reason for the missed payment. If it turns out that a borrower is unable to make the missed payment due to circumstances, we will first consider whether a payment arrangement can offer a solution. Because default interest is charged on missed payments, as an investor you are compensated for the returns you miss. If we do not succeed in getting in touch with the borrower, or if a payment arrangement is not honoured, the loan will be claimed and we will start a legal collection process.
